In some ways I hope it is the wake up call for the team. We didn't play well against Surrey, the result against Surrey covered over some bad performances. This result showed us we need to keep focused against all teams.

6 games in and we should be happy that we are top of the league, just need to kick on for the rest of the year. We shouldn't be too hard on ourselves as we fought back well in the last set to get a draw and are still unbeaten this season.

You can't expect everyone to be firing on all cylinders every month, some months certain players will step up to the plate to cover for others.

The venue is a great improvement on Chiswick, the tables and layout are a huge improvement. I will echo John's word and I hope they play Surrey over the same 2 tables because it was awkward to get momentum and spirit built with the distance between them. ( to be fair they played Kent the same way so I hope they are impartial and do the same again)

Michael Brown played very well, in particular he played a slow double to the corner in one frame to hold for the next ball that was exquisite, motm indeed. Love how cool Tony was dishing the last frame, it is nice to have someone who can thrive in that cauldron of pressure.

Job done so far, a slight slip up at the weekend but let's make sure it is no more than that.
