C Team,

Let's give Darren another reason to dislocate his knee!

Thanks for that Pete!!!!!

Sorry that I've been off the site for a while team, clearly I've been resting up! Also, apologies that I never got round to sorting out a pre-Portsmouth practice session this Wednesday. I DO intend on being there to skipper the C team on Sunday, although hopefully we won't be short of players as I'm not sure I'm up for playing just yet!

I don't think we will be though as I have had some positive responses and am only awaiting a few more replies and confirmations.

Hopefully we've sorted out a lift for Pat, but I still need to find one for John so if anyone can offer a place in the car?

Looks like the Cs will field a decent squad on Sunday, touch wood. I've had confirmations from Alex, Graham, Mikey, Will, Mark, Adam, John, Patrick, Akar, Joe, Jeremy, and Peter Mac. Nigel will confirm on Saturday. Still need to hear from Danny. COME ON THE C TEAM!

Well done to the Cs for posting another 27-17 win, a much stronger team performance than our narrow home victory over Hants, despite losing a few of our top players either to the Bs or to domestic priorities. Every player contributed at least one frame to the final score so it was a real team effort. Frank spared me my blushes and stepped in to make up the 11 as it was clear my leg wasn't going to let me play myself, and presented us with 4/4, while team regulars posted solid 3/4 stats, so well done Patrick (Mr 3 from 4!), Akar, Mikey, John (worth burning those trousers for mate), Peter Mac (good return to form for you Pete) and the superbly reliable Graham whose frames take him above Mark (on loan to the Bs) in the race for top scorer. Contributions from Danny (2) and Jeremy, Adam and Will (1 each) rounded off the team sheet.

It's Surrey at home next and we're all anxious to win that one so let's hope we can field the absolute best team possible. May I remind you (and I will again nearer the time) that Debbie wants next year's registrations out of the way and that new ID cards means you MUST produce new photos.

Report to follow Sass.
