A cue is like an extension to your arm for many players. Some people keep their's for years while others replace them every 6 months. How long have you owned your current cue?

  Surrey? Who?
by: PineapplePete, 08-02-2010 09:40 AM (#1)

Well done C Team squad...once we got going, after a very shaky start, we battled our way to a very close and ultimately dominant position. Very pleasing start to the season. Let's build on it. Welcome to the new boys too, your spirit and immediate cohesion is most welcome.

On a personal note I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my first London Pool experience, even though I ended up not actually playing at all. A great win and super team spirit.

Couldn't agree more guys. I've played county elsewhere before, but the atmosphere then was like a funeral parlour compared with yesterday.

When John Munro won the match the place went mental. Considering we where trailing about 13-5 at one point, a cracking performance!

Clearly, I need to post my reply to this and add my thanks and congratulations to all involved, especially the new players and even more especially those of you who didn't get to play. It's obviously really tough being in that situation which was imposed on us due to numbers 'above' but everyone took it with real team spirit. Michael, those comments are precisely what we love to hear - and precisely what playing county is all about: the contributions we can make not to ourselves but to the team, whether it be player, supporter, timekeeper etc. Rest assured, though, everyone's chance will come to show what they can do on the green baize!

I won't say more as I am about to post my team report ...

For me it was great being back in the team 13 years away ( where did the time go Shocked ) and it was good to see that we still have the same team spirit, plus I did get a game Joy

Looking forward to the next match and lets do it again but dont leave it so late on starting to win them matches.
