London Ladies welcomed Surrey Ladies to JFK's on the back of 2 straight wins, however our new found confidence was short lived as Surrey took the opening 4 frames of the match. Perhaps as recently as a few months ago that would have triggered a full scale collapse but we didn't let it phase us and despite losing the first set we clawed back the deficit to just 2 frames as we got to 11-13 behind. Sadly it just wasn't to be and Surrey showed the class they are capable of stretching away from us at 18-12 and despite us picking up a further 6 frames the match went to Surrey 26-18. Winning 3 of their 4 frames on the day were Sue Studman (pictured), Carly Newman, Linda Redwood and Sarah Long. Our next match is away to Sussex on August 10th where we hope to get back to winning ways! |

There have been some changes to the Monday Night Pool Knockout which will now be as follows:- - £5 entry fee (includes free lights)
- Winner takes all
- Best of 3 early rounds
- Best of 5 semis
- Best of 7 final
- World Rules
 Handicaps - County C Standard - 1
- County B Standard - 2
- County A Standard - 3
- Above A Standard - 4
- Pro Standard - 5
- Everyone else - scratch
Names will be taken from 8pm. Draw at 8.15pm (approx) |

The girls made it back to back wins at the weekend’s inter county match with a 25-19 victory over Hampshire at JFK’s. Noone managed a full house, however, Sarah King, Lucy Nettlingham, Lindie Snyman, Sue Studman and captain Gill Buckingham all registered 3 wins from 4. The team spirit was again excellent making it a pleasure to play and certainly lifted me to raise my game in the 2nd half of the match. Gill was rightly proud of the ladies’ confident performance, particularly as it has been several years since London have beaten Hampshire. London welcome Surrey Ladies to JFK’s on the 22nd of the month. |
